Connect Midlands

Be A VC - put yourself in the investors’ shoes for an afternoon

Details

We are running this ‘investment training game’ where you, the audience, will have the chance

to:

  • see three short business investment pitches
  • read the company proposals
  • consider the risks and potential rewards
  • decide where you would invest
  • AND INVEST! (but not your own money)
  • and more ................

What better way to learn about the strengths and weaknesses of your own business and how to raise money.

Stand on the outside and judge for yourself, hear what others think.......

Then hear the real investor’s view!

We will be joined by Duncan Kerr from Birmingham based Venture Capitalist Midven who currently run 5 investment funds including the Exceed Midlands Advantage Fund, the Early Advantage Fund and the Rainbow Seed Fund.

And finally, learn what really happened to those real businesses.

This event is aimed at high growth potential, early stage businesses - particularly those seeking seed, start-up or early stage funding. Places are limited and likely to be in high demand so formal registration is essential.
